Micro-Assignment 1

Ten pictures

1: Asymmetrical image

Great Campus building!
2: Symmetrical image

This picture was taken in Main Library.

3: Radial image

I use seven rainbow color books to make the radial effect.

4: Person and their surrounding space

It's really a beautiful fountain, isn't it?

5: Person up close

The photo of my roommate   - -...Interesting expression!!

6: An image from the point of view of an ant

These pictures are what I think the ants could see.

7: An image from the point of view of a bird

Well, birds could see much more than a person.

8: A stable image

This duck kept standing near the pond for five minutes by this posture.

9: An unstable image

I love taking these kind of pictures! These two ducks rushed to me when I was feeding others.

10: Your name on campus

I thought a lot before taking this picture. Finally I choose Main Library...

I took the first ten pictures when I was having a small trip around the campus. I hold the camera, and walked around in the campus. When I found the beautiful scenery, I just pressed the shutter. Actually, I take a lot of beautiful pictures during that trip. I remember I found many interesting things at that time. A squirrel was using a curious sight looking at me, and it was not afraid of me at all. This is really my favorite picture. I love this cute creature.

However, this time is different, because this time, the pictures I took has to follow the requests. I still took all these pictures on campus and maybe this is the only point in common. I first think about where on campus I could take these pictures. I wrote a list to decide the place. And I just go there and take the planned pictures. Well, I found an interesting when I took these pictures. Sometimes what the camera sees could be amazing than what you see. The “ant view” pictures really amazed me!

I think I feel more enjoyable when I was taking the first ten pictures, because I can feel freer to take these pictures. I do not need worry about the request. I could choose when to take the pictures, and I think this makes me feel more artistic.
